Cancer's Juvenescence: An Incoming Tide and the Urgent Need for a Paradigm Shift

The article highlights the rising incidence of early-onset cancers in individuals under 50 and emphasizes the urgent need for a paradigm shift in cancer detection and treatment. George Beauregard shares his personal experiences with cancer, including his own battle with bladder cancer and his son's fight with stage 4 colon cancer. He underscores the global increase in early-onset cancer cases and the potential of liquid biopsies to revolutionize early detection. The piece calls for greater awareness, research funding, and a focus on high-value care to address this growing health crisis.

A Letter From a Nonagenarian Member of our Family--a retired Professor of Psychology. Sent on the day of the book release. The words resonated with me.

March 4, 2025

Dear George,

I was watching T.V. a few weeks ago. It was about elephants.
Elephants are herd animals. One of their herd had passed away.
They all came together and went to where the fallen animal was.
They stood in a circle and moaned at their loss. And then left and
resumed doing what elephants do.
Anthropologists who study primitive tribes are impressed that
these tribes all have a ritual...instinctual. They somehow know
that a ritual makes it easier to bear a loss.
In modern society, we have a group of psychologists and others
who say that to speak/write diffuses the energy of a loss no
matter how painful it is.
Life goes on.
Life must go on.
I appreciate what you have done.

Love,
Henry
